As America turns 239 today, the whole world is celebrating the 21st century Athens...the quintessence of democracy. whoever said that America is free of corruption is disillusioned. No country is. America is what it is today because she has perfected the skill of covering up her tracks. America is what it is today because the government puts it's people and not it's pockets first. America is what it is today because there are millions of Americans today who would die for the progress of their country. America is what it is today because it accepts ALL people: white, black, tall, short, rich, poor, disabled, christian, Muslim, Jewish, Hindu, gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, Mason, etc. America has accepted all people; has proved to the world once more that once it comes to democracy, she has no match. America is what it is today because there are leaders who are selfless; leaders who would rather die than to see the country go into disarray. America is what it is today because she has a lot of secrets; secrets that would never be leaked in order to protect the unity of the country. America is what it is today because she has mastered the skill of diplomacy. She has steered clear of a lot of conflicts as well as instigated a few in order to get what she wants. America is what it is today because she discovered on time the benefits of developing the most import resources--the people. She has not left any stone unturned in creating room for her people to achieve their dreams whatever they may be. America is what it is today because she has learnt to appreciate  the achievements of her people. Try starting up a world-class university in Nigeria, you would spend more money filling the pockets of the government officials than in building the university and paying the salaries of a hundred staff for a year. America is what it is today because she has people who are willing to give up their social lives and fight in the army for the cause of the country. America is what it is today because she has a lot of enemies who in an attempt to destroy the nation through espionage and terrorism, only succeed in uniting the nation even more.
